Members Test

By joining the NSWBA, recording your sightings and contributing your data, you will increase the amount of information used as ‘a baseline or benchmark’ supporting the conservation of birds.  Your input is valuable, important and needed to continue our work on monitoring birds, their wellbeing and assisting with our conservation efforts.  Your support can begin with your ‘home’ block, (read on for more details), and expand your recordings of sightings as you gain confidence.

Atlassing requires minimal equipment (binoculars), takes you outdoors to different areas, helps you learn bird identification skills and provides opportunities for socialization and support field research.

The annual membership fee of $30.00 falls due on 1st January, and is the same rate for individuals, families or groups. It covers the costs involved in producing and posting quarterly newsletters, Atlas Record Sheets and general administration.

The NSWBA is supported by a dedicated band of supporters concerned for the welfare of all birds.

NSWBA Members are encouraged to collect records of sightings of all wild birds observed within the official area of interest  which covers all of mainland New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Lord Howe Island, Elizabeth and Middleton Reef and the waters of the western Tasman Sea.
